Perhaps the morning disappeared into other people’s priorities. Perhaps the thing you meant to finish is still open in another window. It can be tempting to treat the rest of the day as already decided.

I would start smaller.

Choose one thing that would make tomorrow easier. Give it a clear edge: the paragraph, the question, the appointment. Something you can recognize as finished.

Then consider what can wait. Making that choice deliberately can be as useful as completing another task.

You do not have to turn the whole day around to make a worthwhile move within it.
